Can I choose the wood species?

Yes. We offer a variety of premium hardwoods, including Walnut, Maple, White Oak, Mahogany, Cherry, Purple Heart, and other specialty species based on availability. If you have a specific wood preference, we'll work with you to create the perfect piece.

Can I choose the inlay wood?

Yes. You can select both the primary wood species and the contrasting inlay wood species. Popular combinations include Walnut with Maple inlays, Maple with Walnut inlays, Mahogany with Maple inlays, and White Oak with Walnut inlays.

Can I use my company logo, aircraft registration, or custom artwork?

Yes. We can incorporate company logos, aircraft tail numbers, aircraft silhouettes, aviation emblems, flight department logos, monograms, and custom artwork into your design.

Can I choose the font style and size?

Absolutely. We offer a wide range of font styles, including modern, traditional, script, aviation-inspired, and luxury serif fonts. Font sizes, layouts, and placement can all be customized to your preferences.

Will I see a design before my order is built?

Yes. Every custom order includes a digital design proof for approval before production begins. We will not start building your piece until you have reviewed and approved the design.

Can changes be made after I receive my design proof?

Yes. Minor adjustments to fonts, layouts, sizing, positioning, and design elements can typically be made during the proofing stage to ensure the final product meets your expectations.

What is the difference between End Grain and Edge Grain boards?

End Grain Boards

End grain boards are considered the premium choice for cutting boards. The wood fibers stand vertically, allowing knife edges to pass between the fibers rather than cutting across them. This helps:

  • Preserve knife sharpness
  • Reduce visible knife marks
  • Improve durability
  • Extend the life of the board
  • Create a distinctive luxury appearance

For customers intending to use their board for food preparation, end grain construction is our recommended option.

Edge Grain Boards

Edge grain boards are beautiful, durable, and slightly lighter in weight. They are often preferred for serving boards, charcuterie boards, display pieces, and decorative applications where extensive knife use is not expected.

Are your boards safe for food preparation?

Yes. All cutting boards and serving pieces are finished with food-safe oils and finishes that are designed to protect the wood while remaining safe for food contact.

How do I care for my board?

To maximize the life of your board:

  • Hand wash only
  • Never place in a dishwasher
  • Dry immediately after washing
  • Apply board oil periodically
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to standing water

Detailed care instructions are included with every order.

How long does production take?

Because each piece is handcrafted and made to order, production times vary based on design complexity and order volume. Most custom orders are completed within 1–3 weeks after final design approval.

Are your products handmade?

Yes. Every Prop & Pine piece is individually crafted using carefully selected hardwoods, precision CNC technology, hand-finishing techniques, and thorough quality inspections.

Do you offer gifts for pilots, flight attendants, aircraft owners, and flight departments?

Yes. Our products make exceptional gifts for pilots, flight attendants, aircraft owners, charter operators, corporate flight departments, maintenance teams, aircraft deliveries, retirements, anniversaries, and aviation enthusiasts.

Do you offer bulk or corporate orders?
